Anna Calleja is a Senior Clinical Research Associate at PCRG and is based in Sydney, Australia.

Anna has worked on clinical trials over numerous therapeutic areas, including oncology, cardiology, urology, diabetes, and neurology, from phase I first-in-human trials, through to multi-national phase IV trials.

Graduating with a degree in Pharmacology and Toxicology from the University of New South Wales in 2003, Anna was accepted into the Graduate Clinical Research Associate program at Pfizer Inc, which allowed her the opportunity to train as a CRA.

After moving to the UK in 2004, Anna took on a role at the CRO, PAREXEL, which saw her move from CRA to Clinical Lead within 2 years. Roles as CRA and Clinical Research Manager in Pharmaceutical Company GlaxoSmithKline followed, helping her gain further experience in the running of trials in the UK.

In 2007 Anna was appointed to the position of Study Manager at Allergan Inc, where she managed a number of Clinical trials in over 10 countries in the EU, building a strong knowledge base of the EU Clinical Trials system.

Upon returning to Australia in 2009, Anna took on the role of Senior Clinical Research Associate at PCRG, where she has been involved in the rapid set up of numerous studies, managing and monitoring sites in Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong Singapore and Malaysia. 

With over 7 years of clinical research involvement, Anna has conducted trials across 15 countries, including set-up, monitoring, and close out in over 20 multi-centre clinical trials.
